The focus of my 25+ year systems engineering career was the design, operations, and management of real-time, mission critical systems for the U.S. Government (NASA, NOAA, DOD). To that end, I completed a master’s degree in Telecommunications with a concentration in Decision Science from George Mason University. Shortly afterwards, I started coursework on a second master’s degree and PhD in Engineering.
I was going through files on my PC and found this paper I co-authored with one of my professors and two of my classmates. Detailed performance analysis and capacity planning were critical success factors managing information technology. At the time, I was the Director of Internet Performance Analysis and Advance Product Planning with Loral Orion, a provider of global satellite communications services.
